Morgan Wade has never been one to mince words or play coy, a fact that she underscores repeatedly on her new album *The Party Is Over (recovered)*. The follow-up to 2024’s acclaimed *Obsessed*, Wade continues the intense exploration of her psyche’s recesses across 11 songs that she again wrote solo. As ever, the results are thrilling.

The album-closing “Hardwood Floor” chronicles a woman’s agonizing struggle to become a mother. Directors Nikhil Melnechuk and Melissa Jackson of Mystic Entertainment met Wade when they cast her to play a bull rider in their forthcoming rodeo feature film, "Daisy." They teamed up with Wade to co-direct the Official Music Video for "Hardwood Floor" and bring Morgan's powerful and important story to the screen.
